To buy or not to buy... this is the question!!!
The cup says this:
"Why in moments of crisis do we ask God for strength and help? As cognitive beings, why would we ask something that may well be a figment of our imaginations for guidance? Why not search inside ourselves for the power to overcome? After all, we are strong enough to cause most of the catastrophes we need to endure."
Can't Starbucks just sale some coffee? Why open themselves to the chance of losing customers by allowing something like this to be on their cup?
Share your opinion with me!!
** P.S. This is not me in the picture. I found this when I googled "Starbucks cup" **

thank you for sharing the back of the Starbuck coffee cup. I always buy the cold coffee and never read the back of the cup. I will think twice before I stop again. There are other places that sell coffee, you know!!!

This is terrible that they would print something like that on their cups!!
Perhaps a boycot will help them get themselves in line...

Hi April... this is Ali @ amazed and amused. You responded to my blog. Loved hearing from you. Marriage is definitely a roller coaster. With God's guidance and the accountability of our friends, we can help each other stay on a healthy path; even if the path is a little rocky! Starbucks was pretty bold to print that... my jaw dropped!

Wow! Stacy over at Exceedingly Mundane posted the back of a Starbuck cup the other day too. Her's was funny though.
I've never been a fan of Starbucks, but I will really stay away from them now. They need to just stick with selling coffee and keep opinions and "fun quotes" out of it.

A friend of mine sent me this info in an e-mail yesterday. Needless to say it is a little shocking to read.
I guess they figure talk is good! I'm sure they aren't too worried about loosing customers otherwise why would they do this?
Honestly, I'm not sure yet how I feel about buying coffee from them. I am a huge fan of coffee. I will have to pray about what stand I want to take.
Thanks for sharing!

I'm in agreement with you. Why don't they just stick to selling coffee?! This angers me. If I want a cup of coffee, I want a cup of coffee. I don't want to be assaulted with someone's disbelief in God while I'm trying to wake up. *SIGH*

*gasp*!
I'm torn!
Oh my heart!
This is worse than the killing monkeys thing!
Guess I'll stick to my Starbucks rip off here in Ensenada . . .
*tears*
Really though, that is pretty sad.

I am shocked - I am NOT a coffee drinker but have bought several GC's from them for gifts - NEVER again - I am very sad!

Eh...coffee is over-rated anyway...and didn't McDonald's beat them in a taste test recently??????

They are just dumb. Lucky for them they make really good coffee (and in many places nobody else does.)
That's ridiculous but I guess that is what freedom of the press/freedom of speech is for right? So every idiot can say what they want to say? (Doesn't mean anyone has to listen though!)
Needless to say, I don't agree with them but I wouldn't want anyone telling them they can't write what they want to write on their cups. Freedom of speech is a knife that cuts both ways.
