  • Came across your blog via Vader's mom; I live in St. Louis!

There is a lot to do!

If you're coming over July 4th weekend, there is a huge Fair, air show, and Parade near the river called Fair St. Louis. Visit www.celebratestlouis.org for a list of FREE events (like the Goo Goo Dolls concert, Cyndi Lauper and more). I go every year and have a blast. Especially during the nightly fireworks display. It's so beautiful under the Arch!

Depending on where you stay, there's Union Station which is an old train station that has been converted into a shopping center. It's near downtown. Of course you could attend a Cardinals game, if you're into baseball and don't mind sweating your bottie off!

I know great restaurants and things to do...stop by my blog and drop me a commment (that will give me your email addy) and we can chat offline if you'd like!

    Have fun!

  • Stacy's right. We did just go. The zoo is wonderful! If you like baseball, the new Busch stadium is great. Maybe you could catch a game. I am in New Mexico visiting my brother this weekend, but I will send you some links when I get back to TN. Have a great weekend!

  • We live in St. Louis, so I have lots of fun ideas! There is a Pier One Outlet, if you like their stuff and shopping. I love recommending to folks to stay in Clayton - it's right in the middle of the city, so you can quickly access everything, and it's a great area to walk around - you can walk to restaurants, Forest Park, Shaw Park, etc. It's also really safe and there are a lot of people (young couples, professionals, families) out during the day and at night.

You can usually get a pretty good hotel deal by using priceline for the Clayton area. My parents always do this when they come to town. We really like the Sheraton on Bonhomme.

If you want, send me an email at midwesttexan (at) gmail (dot) com and let me know what you guys are interested in and I can write with some more ideas.
